Co-curricular

Co-curricular Activities

At San Damiano College, we focus on the education of the whole student, spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically and our co-curricular program is an important part of this experience.

Students are encouraged to participate with enthusiasm and “give everything a go” through a range of opportunities, including interschool sport and activities offered through established sporting associations.

Co-curricular opportunities include SECA and representative sport pathways, with events such as Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics, and competitions that may include Volleyball, Touch Football, Soccer, Basketball, Netball (girls), Tennis, Rugby League (boys), Indoor Soccer, Chess, AFL, Theatre Sports and E Sports. Please refer to our Sports page for further information.

Benefits of Co‑curricular Participation

Participation in co‑curricular activities supports the College’s commitment to educating the whole student. Through involvement beyond the classroom, students are encouraged to participate with enthusiasm, develop confidence, and challenge themselves in new and supportive environments.

Co‑curricular experiences provide opportunities for students to build positive relationships, demonstrate teamwork and leadership, and strengthen a sense of belonging within the College community. These experiences align with the College values of Community, Respect, Resilience and Service, which underpin student life at San Damiano College.

By engaging in a range of sporting, cultural and interest‑based activities, students are supported to develop personal strengths, perseverance and a willingness to “give everything a go”, contributing positively to their growth as learners and young people.
