Football Training Program
San Damiano College offers an early morning Football Training Program for students who have expressed an interest in further developing their football skills within a focused, supportive and high‑quality training environment.
This optional program takes place before the start of the school day and is designed to strengthen individual technical skills, teamwork and game understanding, while nurturing a positive attitude towards training and competition. The program also provides valuable preparation for students aspiring to represent San Damiano College in future competitions, including SECA and the Bill Turner Cup in 2026.
Training sessions are led by Mr Chris Bryzak, a Football Australia A Diploma qualified coach. The Football Australia A Diploma is one of the highest coaching qualifications in Australian football, recognised nationally and internationally. Coaches holding this qualification have advanced training in player development, tactical understanding, performance analysis, and creating high‑quality learning environments that support both individual and team growth. This level of accreditation reflects a strong commitment to excellence, best‑practice coaching, and ongoing professional learning within the sport.
Through structured and purposeful training sessions, students are encouraged to build confidence, discipline, commitment and sportsmanship, while developing a deeper understanding of the game in a positive and encouraging setting. The program supports the continued growth of football at San Damiano College and aligns with the College’s commitment to excellence, wellbeing and opportunity for all students.
