Bonaventure Study Group

One way San Damiano College supports students in developing strong study habits and a love of learning is through the introduction of an after school study group. This group will run in the College library every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, providing a calm, structured environment that encourages focus and personal growth.

Students will have the opportunity to work in a quiet and supportive space, complete assignments and projects, and receive individual guidance from staff as needed. The study group reflects our commitment to nurturing confident, capable learners who approach their studies with perseverance and purpose.

This initiative has been named the Bonaventure Study Group, in honour of St Bonaventure, a Franciscan friar and one of the great intellectuals of his time. St Bonaventure believed that learning should be guided by curiosity, wisdom and faith, and that knowledge is most meaningful when it serves the growth of the whole person. Inspired by his example, the Bonaventure Study Group aims to encourage students at San Damiano College to embrace learning with curiosity, purpose and passion, in the true Franciscan spirit.
